The quintessence of Chardonnay in an exceptional year
The Le Blanc de Blancs cuvée, produced in limited quantities and only in exceptional vintages, perfectly expresses the nobility of Chardonnay from the best vintages of the Côte des Blancs. Its long aging in the cellar for 6 years, its frame marked by remarkable minerality and its low dosage make it a top-notch wine, as comfortable on a gastronomic table as alone for a distinguished aperitif.
Appearance: Light yellow color, bright and shiny, very fine and abundant bubble.
Nose: Delicate, but already expressive, it reveals a great aromatic freshness, with notes of lemon, white fruit, mirabelle plums and frangipani.
Palate: From the outset, it is voluptuous and vibrant, revealing a silky texture, supported by a touch of nervousness. It reveals notes of citrus, citron and white flowers, which culminate in a long and tense finish, imbued with the chalky minerality specific to the Côte des Blancs.
An epicurean aperitif par excellence, Le Blanc de Blancs 2012 will also go wonderfully with scallops fried in candied lemon or a filet of turbot with a white butter with seaweed.
