The Lieu-dit "Les Villaises" is located at an altitude of between 40 and 75 m and its plots are oriented on a slight south to southwest slope on the slopes of Saint Cyr en Bourg. The landscape is relatively open.
In the middle of an area with a temperate oceanic climate, the AOC Saumur Champigny appellation area has a particularly hot microclimate in summer, hence the name of this appellation, which comes from the Latin campus igni or field of fire.
Use of prophylactic methods (disbudding, leaf stripping) to promote the natural aeration of the strains and to regulate the load; then, of reasoned culture in order to allow a more natural fight against the fungal diseases.
Deep ruby color. Open nose with aromas of fresh red fruits (redcurrant, blackcurrant). Frank attack. Soft and light palate, with fine tannins, with an elegant finish on fresh fruit.
