From 1999, proud and ambitious, the Zimmer house decided to return to bottling in the domain of wines from its own vines. The estate currently comprises 9 hectares of vines, spread over 66 plots around Riquewihr, 14 of which are classified as Grand Cru.
Redevelopment and commercial development work is well underway and demand is booming until the untimely death of Antoine Zimmer, owner until 2001.
His wife, Régine, as well as his daughters, Laure and Carole, then decided to take up the torch in order to continue producing the wines of the estate in respect of family know-how and a guarantee of quality to ensure the authentic expression of Alsatian terroirs.
Today, Zimmer produces around 60,000 bottles a year from around 72 tonnes of grapes.
Their Pinot Gris is dense and well balanced.
