They searched extensively among the oldest vineyards of Negramaro in Salento to find the perfect grapes to express the soul of this noble vine. They only selected three vineyards and “F” is the name they chose to give them. “F” like Feudi di San Marzano. Part of their history, this letter has become a mark of quality for Negramaro, a symbol of their passion for this ancient and demanding grape variety.
The grapes are harvested manually with small baskets. Maceration: 18 days on 80% of the mass, 25 days on 20%, with indigenous yeasts selected in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C.
A very deep purple-red color.
On the nose: rich and complex bouquet with hints of spices, red fruits and cherry jam.
On the palate: a full-bodied, supple and balanced wine, rich in fine tannins, with a pleasantly long finish.
Best served with: rich flavored starters, red meat, game and mature cheese. A wine of meditation.
